Dual AGP Slots

Ok, here's the deal. I'm trying to find out two things.

a) Are there any Motherboards that have 2 AGP slots? I want to be able to transfer my favorite TV shows on to CD's for posterity; however, I don't want to lose my ability to output to my TV or my gaming graphics power. So I want to have a TV tuner and my normal card so that I can switch back and forth depending what I want to do.

b) Is there another way to take stuff from the TV and put it on my computer other than TV card? Is there a way without recording to VHS first? (I'm planning on getting a new GeForce or Radeon card that has DVI and TV (S-video) out.)

First of all, I can't figure out what you are talking about. Are you saying you have an agp tv tuner card? I've never heard of one of those. If that is your problem then there are several pci tv tuner cards. So you have your good video card in your agp slot plus a tv tuner card in a pci slot. There are no motherboards with two agp slots. Anything that can transfer tv to the computer would probably be considered a tv card, so there's really no way around that. There are usb tv tuners. But you will need some kind of tv tuner/video capture device to get the tv into your computer.
 
You either want an ATI 'All in Wonder' AGP card, which will do everything you want in one card, or any AGP card plus a Matrox RT series or Pinnacle DV PCI capture/edit card.
 
A. Is it possible for motherboard makers to put two AGP slots on a mainboard however it's not done becuase. A It's expensive very expensive and B there are alot more dual slot cooling solutions comming out and that would block out the second AGP slot so MB makers tend not to put a seond on the board.

B. your after a PCI/USB2.0 capture card (There are NO agp capture cards) my reccomendations is get a pinnacle capture card with hardware MPEG2 compression. this makes it much less likley you will get skipped frames from the capture.

Or get a ATI AIW card that does everything you want in one card. although i think it does not have hardware MPEG2 encoding.
 
...and, if you have a tuner card (which come in PCI) you don't need to record your shows to VHS before converting them over. You can just record them straight off the cable. This is the whole point of a tuner card.
