Well guys let me introduce you to my situation. Last week I receieved every piece to my water-cooling setup. I did the usual assembly, and got to leak testing. Just filling up the darn thing led to leaks, which means no pump action. My White-Water leaked from the base, inbetween the two, not the barb. This struck me wierd, so I move onto tightening the top to make sure that was not the problem. What do you know? One of the screws wont thread all the way. Now I did not want to take it all apart and try to reassemble it on my own so I emailed dteks support and tech on Friday, March 11. No word has come back from them. I proceed to call and have received their answering machince twice, left an urgent message today. I went back to the drawing board, looked at my block and the bottom seems to have a small scuff now, I'm assuming some Anti-Freeze was left there un-noticed by me, my mistake. DOH! Is DTEKs customer support always this bad? 3 unanswered emails, no message returned, and always on the other line or away from the phone? And now even worse, I do not think they will accept my block back for replacement with the base scuffed up a little, what do you guys think? Some might say, hey just go buy another block, right now I am currently unemployed, but that might be my best bet. Another solution is take it all apart and try to fix it, the pops wants to try and seal it but Id rather not do that. What should I do guys?

They are probably away for the weekend. Dtek is not a really large company so I doubt they work on tech support emails on the weekend. Give them til tuesday or wednesday to respond to the email. The scuff on the bottom should be no problem.

I think what the problem with your block is, it sounds like a bad oring. Since you said it is leaking between the two parts of the block. You might try opening up the block and seeing if you can replace/repair the oring yourself if you want to.

...........

if one of the screws will not thread in all of the way, that could very well mean that the hole was not tapped properly in the first place.

i honestly suggest that you keep up the barrage of support requests until you get some service from DTEK. regardless of the form that the service takes, you really need to make them PAY in some way for shippig you a defective product.

in this case PAY could just mean that they talk you through fixing it, replace the product, or some other option.

don't take it lying down! fight on, my comrade!
