DS lite US Release Date

Wow... nice price... If the N-shield screen protectors work on the Lite too, then I'm sold.

I just ordered one on eBay for $190 ... because I thought it would be like $150+ ... and I got the white so I'm not gonna be unique ... *dies*

Oh well ... at least I'll get it before the release date :D
 
I must admit that im suprised that its only $130, $70 cheaper than a PSP.

Many people aren't willing to pay ~$200 to import one.
 
i know , i wont field 300$ CAD to import one... my regular ds will do the job ... until i get a ds lite from around here
 
I think arr4ws is saying that if mario was released alongside the ds lite, it would move a lot of lites. but since it's going to come first, people are going to buy original ds's to play mario on, hurting sales of the lite. Not that it particulary matters - N gets your money either way :p

Maybe Nintendo is anticipating so many people to upgrade from the old DS to the DS Lite, that they are willing to release Mario now to help finish of the old DS's in stock.
 
I sold my PSP today and I'm really looking forward to getting one of these. I almost got one imported but I suppose I can wait another month to save some cash.

Advance Wars and Castelvania are definitely the best. Also good are Mario Kart, Animal Crossing (if that's your thing), Tetris, Meteos, Kirby, Phoenix Wright if you like adventure games. I'm sure other people will add to this list, too.

I suppose other colors are still in short supply.

I've pre-ordered an import of enamel navy blue for $170.....is $40 worth the difference? Hard to say....Ahhh, I'll have to make up my mind. :(
 
I think I'll wait for a price drop + new colors. I still like my old DS =D
 
I think I'm going to wait till they introduce some other colors till I get one. Here's to hoping for a black version!
 
I'd love a black version as well; the other colors don't really do it for me. White is decent.
 
The navy is pretty damn close to black. Although, pictures of it with the camera flash on reveals a rather light looking blue...
 
Oh well, I imported one yesterday and it is in Germany already (5 hours from home :D ) so it will be here tomorow (its 1030 pm here) I guess I could have waited since I have a PSP, but I wanted it by next week. I got the white one, not into the other colors.

I defenetly will go get some games tomorow....how about some more recomendations. Hope to have a nice list to choose from when I wake up tomorow :D :cool:
 
I was hoping for the magic 99 so that the wii could be 149 but only time will tell. 130 is too steep for me :( (ebay).

Do you guys think its worth it to wait another month or should I just buy a regular DS so I can enjoy Super Mario Bros?
