Guys, looking by the price/specs for the superflower 550, do you guy think it is a good thing to forget about the fortron 500 bluestorm and dropping in a superflower 50 for almost half the price?

ummmm I can't seem to find the one I wanted...but it is not modlar..it is on sale @ directron for 54.99....directron site is so damn hard to navigate and find things...

and O yah...where is directron.com located? and for you california residents who order here..how long do you get ur items from directron?

nvm you guys, my budget just went up 40 bucks :) So I am looking @ the antec neopower/ or the 550w truepower2 or maybe even the ocz powerstream 520 hmmm....

hmm 7.2....blah...I am gonna be sticking with newegg for 2 reasons.......

1) I live in California, fast shipping :)

2) Reliability

I'll pay the few extra bucks.....

BUT there is one thing that makes me really wanna order from directron.....Thier OCZ powerstream 420w.........it's only 86 bucks unlike newegg which charges a little over 100 and its out of stock..but I figure if newegg doesn't have it....maybe directron doesn't either and probably will screw me hehe..anyways yah..

Directron has been really good to me, altering orders after placement for me, outright cancelling others before they were packed, fast shipping (to Ohio), good prices, I use them just as much as Newegg personally.

i doubt it...but then again I wouldnt know because i live in Florida

Directron shouldn't charge tax for anywhere outside Texas since they are a relatively small, local only company. They're located down the street from me so it's easier for me to trust them, but I've also had no problems from them for years. I usually get my cases, PSU's, and mod accessories from them to save shipping since I can just drive there to pick up for heavy stuff or cheap stuff that will double in price with shipping. They give me a 5% cash discount which basically offsets the tax too (although if you ask them, they'll deny they do this since I don't think it's legal to charge different rates for credit card :)

It's a double edge sword. Fast shipping but dreaded sales tax that adds up. Newegg is wicked fast in shipping though. They get most stuff to me in a day. Zipzoomfly which is only a 20 minute drive away averages 3 days.

I got a 550 Watt Super Flower from Directron a while back for $29.99. It powers my DFI Ultra D. It is only 20 pin also. I did get a Seasonic S12 500 Watt to replace it, and instead, the Seasonic sits on my shelf waiting for another computer to be built. Super Flowers are good. I would rate them higher than Antec for sure (I like Antec (Chenming)cases however). I am currently using 2 PCP&C PSU's and a Zippy, along with my Super Flower. The Seasonic is good also, but I think I will be powering a PC based on ATi's (Saphire's) new motherboard with it .

wut??? directron has the OCZ powerstream 420 for 84 or 86.99 i forgot, but I checked pricewatch and the lowest they listed was a 96$ one @ atacom...? huh??? is the one @ directron legit?

directron=possibly best E-tailer ever so yes its most likely legit

OK, I'll take you guy's word for it...I will order my powerstream 420/kworld tvtuner/harddrive mounting brackets for just 126shipped..instead of newegg...which is like 100 bucks for the psu alone plus tax lol....If my order goes well with Directron....(which I am sure it will) it's gonna be my fav place to order things from now on :) (newegg is just not that competetive anymore IMO) especiallly the sales tex for cali buyers ;)

O yah and directron has the 500w Fortron bluestorm for 84.99 :)

ive been to directron myself a few times. they are 10 minutes from me. i think they have good prices just wish they had a bigger inventory. ie ..speakers. ive seen others who have had good experiences with directron. i will definately order from them again well i go there pick it up is what i mean lol.
