I am pretty
now
I recently fried a K7S5A mobo+1600XP+512 PC2100 ram, so I upgraded to a NF7-S mobo with a 2500 barton, and Pc2700 ram...kept the same other parts, including my crappy video card it's a GF2 GTS...
anyways I reloaded windows XP after I put all the stuff in, downloaded lastest Nvidia drivers, did all the security patches from windowsupdate and what not, and in some games I noticed a drop in FPS...so I tested it tonight with 3dmark2001, comparing it to previous results (dont laugh, I know it's old school but my card can't handle much more
, lol) anyways my score has a 1000 # cout, it's at 3500 whereas it was around 4500 before buying this stuff...I am scratching my head as to why this is...
I am hoping there is nothing I overlooked, as far as I know there isin't but I am looking for anything to try, I dont expect an increase in #'s from my old system to this one since the bottleneck is clearly the video card, and has been...but I am looking for a reason why the drop is so great...this really
me off
