Driving With a Mind-Controlled Bionic Arm

The German firm Otto Bock HealthCare has created a mind-controlled arm prosthesis that has allowed this young man to once again drive, and pass his driving test with flying colors.

The prosthesis is based on targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR), a process by which four key arm nerves are systematically relocated to the surgically segmented chest musculature. Once reinnervation is complete -- it can take several months -- the surface of the chest forms an interface to the patient's brain.

Even if its 100% perfect, I don't trust my own mind to control my car in that manner. My thoughts are easily distracted
