I'm trying to get the new 11.1 drivers installed, they go through the process, screen flickers, install finishes and tells me that there was a warning during the install. Upon reboot catalyst control center is nowhere to be seen and checking my driver version in device manager tells me that my driver is from October of 2010. I've seen a few other odd threads about this but no amount of reboots, reinstalls, and other wrangling seems to help. Any ideas?

People will tell you to use "driver cleaner" etc.

You can try it, but unfortunately the best solution is to reload your OS.

Its happened to me a few times.

Are you installing the 'offiical' 11.1s or the 11.1a hotfix? I couldn't get the 11.1a to install a display driver at all but the 11.1s installed just fine.

I'm just installing the normal 11.1s. No 6xxx card so no need for the hotfix.
