Hi,

I decided to install Windows 2000 on my laptop, If I knew how much problems it would have caused i'd just have bought a new Laptop :eek:

Its the Compaq Evo N1015v Windows 2000 SP4.

When I installed it found everything except from Graphics, Sound and Modem (I trust thats what the PCI Comms devices was ) got those two installed. But the Graphics system causes many problems.
Namely 640*480 res

I've downloadded the drivers from the Support Site on HP, but out of the 4 or so differetn ones (2x for XP thus dont work), 1 lists its hardware as Mobility U1 (which iirc is what it is) but when I restart, it gets past the Windows boot screen (the one with the progress bar) then goes blank. I have to restart. When In safe mode It says "No Drivers Installed" for the card the other driver comes up as Radeon 310 or something and has the same problems .
I have downloaded updates from Windows Update, ran the Bios Flash and uninstalled a few times and reinstalled a few times.
No matter what I do it just wont install.
Anyone else had problems / have ideas on fixing it?

Any help appreciated.
