driver question

can I install new drivers over the old ones or do they have to be removed? Just downloaded the new 9.12 to replace the 9.11.

Yes you can.

You can do it that way, but it's not recommended, to truly do it the safe way

1) Uninstall Driver Via Control Panel
2) Reboot in safe mode
3) Run driver sweeper
4) Install new driver

ok thnx guys! I will do my usual of uninstall the existing drivers, then run ccleaner and remove all registry entries, reboot and install new drivers.

AMD recommends to just install the new drivers over the old one. I've done it both ways, and have never notice any kind of difference other than the wasted time of removing the old drivers.
