My server is running windows 7 sp2 on an asus m478t-e (AMD SB 750) chipset with an AOC SASLP-MV8. I just got 4 more 2 TB HD's bring my total to 11 HD's. One of my drives is not showing. I heard there is a 10 drive limit on the AMD SB 750 chipset. Is there a way I can resolve this, either with another controller or through software? I'm going to migrate the server to windows 8 as I want storage spaces as well as MCE. I'm also planning on getting an external box as well (ie Lian Li EX-503)

Thank you in advance,

Chris

Have you tried to disconnect a drive connected to the motherboard to see if the missing drive on the AOC appears ?

Frankly I don't see what the southbridge would have to do with this.

Where is the drive not showing? Bios or OS?

Where are you plugging the drive that does not show, the MB or the HBA? Also, does that drive prove good in another machine?
