drive has decided to quit reading.

got a verbatim 48x cd-rw burner and it doesn't read anything. it opens and closes like normal, reads in the bios, in windows, everything as normal. but when i put a cd in there, the drive never spins up to read it or anything. is the drive just screwed or what?
 
that's about the only thing i can think of.


and i have those other drive that doesn't wanna burn. waaaaahh....
 
i'm gonna kill these stupid drives. so i put the other one in and loaded up nero but it won't recognize it as a burner.
 
same thing happened to a tdk cd burner i had. just one day stopped reading cds, everything else worked. never got it going again. hope you do. :(
