Is this a good deal for a Dremel I currently have this One . Which I got as a Christams present last year. Ive already spent a decent amount of money on tools and want to start cutting back (hehe pun) on the cash spending....This Guy has RPM selector of 6500, 10700, 14000 and 22000 RPM. Sounds good to me for $30.00....and its Corded....stupid batterys....So what do you guys think? Anybody actually own this guy by chance?
 
i own one just like it.....except its green. i just got a 400XPR though which seems to be of much better quality.


as for the generic one....i didnt really have any problems with it, worked just fine for what it was and its price isnt bad. how much is shipping though? i got my generic one last year off ebay for about $32 shipped, in its own case with quite a bit of bits.

Theres a HF store about 45 minutes from me soo...no shipping. :)
 
plz don't take this as flaming but. buy a real dremel 65$ or 55$ at walmart comes with flex thing and some bits ok.
 
the dremel 395 multi-pro can be found for about $40.....flex-shaft is another $20 or so.....
 
Yeah, but stay away from "paying for" the lithium ion ones. Got one as a gift and with how long things take to make good cuts, it dies halfway through each little job. I gave up giving an older antec case 2 front 120mm fans as I was going through the charge like nothing (and no I wasn't forcing the thing). Lasts a good 30 minutes or so sanding/styling wood but even a job like that takes hours. I just wish they'd make an adapter to use wall current.

definitely all about cords imo......


a friend of mine is really big into RC cars, he got himself a cordless dremel - thing would die in no time. cordless tools are just not a jump im willing to take.
