i've got a 300 series dremel. it included 50 accesories/attachments. i've gone through the quick-start guide, as well as the manual, and nowhere does it show you how to attach things to the dremel. i find this to be a bit disturbing as the accessories came with the dremel. maybe my monkey brain just doesn't see it. anyways, please help me so that i don't lose a finger or an eye.

here's what i have:

300 series dremel, collet, collet nut, #402 mandrel (i think, it's the only mandrel that came with the dremel), #426 cutting wheel, and wrench tool that came with the dremel.

how do i properly attach the #426 to the dremel?

UPDATE: i found another mandrel, which I think is actually the #402. it has a flat-head screw for tightening cutting wheels.

is everything attached properly?

i turned it on to speed 10 and everything seems to be ok. nothing got loose.

I personally use thin metal washers to sandwich the cut-off wheel. Apparently it's not needed but I have had a few work themselves loose and enlarge the collet hole so the cut-off wheel actually lost its attachment. Up to you though. Just make sure its very tight. Whatcha cuttin' ?

aluminum. top of my lian-li case.

i actually did it. it wasn't that bad at all. it's not that pretty, but it's done.
