How do I start downloading this? I bought the digital deluxe version but it doesn't say anything about downloading it.
I don't mean to gloat... actually, I do mean to... LOL!... but my copy of Dragon Age (collector's edition) has passed through the UPS network, and is in my city, and will be delivered to me tomorrow!
That is what I am talking about, my friends.
I hope you're knocking on wood everytime you post this.
tuesday for the us
God fucking damnit I hate the UK
Stupid politics, I'm pre-loading on steam now and will have the capability to play it by tuesday like the US but have to wait for no good reason while other people get to play it.
I can't explain how angry that makes me, and developers wonder why people pirate games :rolleyes
Oh and the preload speed on steam is crap, 750k/s...SIGH
Preload finished... wish they'd unlock it tomorrow

Yeah, me too.
Wait a minute, what am I saying, I will be getting it tomorrow!
The folder ended up being 15.3GB, not sure how Steam calculates its percentages.
I'm glad you get so much pleasure out of being able to play a video game less than 24 hours early. I wish my life was so simple.

Yeah something's going to go wrong, I know it.
In my mind I've already written my 'Dragon Age Has Just Arrived In The Mail' thread, which I hope to post tomorrow - tomorrow being Monday. That would be the Monday before the Tuesday on which mostly everyone else will be getting their copy.
But stuff like this usually backfires on me (I'm the guy who'll open up a box and there will be a missing DVD or something). Ah well, that's all part of the experience. I've learned to enjoy getting ripped off, or being disappointed. Nevertheless, I hope to see you again tomorrow.
Tomorrow being Monday.
It will be to protect the sales of the mail order and retail stores, and I guess the sales chart position.ISteam region releases seem staggered, perhaps to cope with bandwidth demands

On a different note: Steam (and other downloads) are a massive disappointment anyway - so much feels like an absolute rip off since the physical copies can be bought from internet retailers for much better prices anyway. Dragon Age is no exception, £30 on Steam, very laughably £35 from GAME's download service and yet only £25 from most of the etailers
It unlocks tomorrow?
*cough*
*cough*
I think I feel a 24-hour flu coming on....
Bah, early afternoon? So, what will I do with my morning??
Available: November 3rd, 2009
This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 3 hours
There was no way my connection would have downloaded the whole thing in time, so I just ordered a boxed copy with release day delivery from Amazon.
$46.00 plus you get a $10 video game gift card for future Amazon purchases. Pretty solid deal, I thought. Unfortunately, they didn't have any boxed collectors editions.
I went with the same from Amazon.
Unfortunately my order still shows 'Shipping Soon', so I'm interested to see if they can actually make the delivery date as-promised.
Most steam games do not unlock until noon pst of that day. I believe i read something somewhere that this is due to publisher pressure to ensure than online does not get it before stores have the ability to sell it (ie at midnight when they are closed)
