Add another one to the list of titles calling for high VRAM:

Recommended:
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD six core CPU @ 3.2 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 3.0 GHz
System RAM: 8 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Graphics Memory: 3 GB---->changed to 2GB
Hard Drive: 26 GB
DirectX 11

Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz
System RAM: 4 GB
Graphics CARD: AMD Radeon HD 4870, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Graphics Memory: 512 MB
Hard Drive: 26 GB
DirectX 10

EDIT: looks like the 3GB VRAM recommended was a mistake: http://forum.bioware.com/topic/5153...quirements-and-hands-on/page-18#entry17480176

512 MB isn't high. Everyone doesn't need to max out graphics. Use settings that make the best use of your gear.

Seems pretty much the same as BF4 recommended specs except for the VRAM.

I don't recall those specs but it seems about the same; however, BF4 probably has a substantially higher range than DA. I'm glad i'll be able to come close (I think) to maxing this thing out with my GTX 670 4GB card. I think the Witcher will stress my system a LOt more than this. Can't wait for both games!

I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same, except the recommended VRAM is 3GB with BF4. I think they corrected it this time around because all the video cards listed as recommended only come in 2GB flavors.

Haven't played BF4 before - is there less stuttering or any benefit in that game from having high VRAM?

Resolution scaling, more AA... all the usual things that benefit from more VRAM. I have not monitored my VRAM usage in BF4 before, but I have had no performance issues with all Ultra settings, HBAO 100% scaling at 1080p, and 4x MSAA using a GTX 780 with 3GB of VRAM. For some reason I seem to remember seeing 2.2-2.4GB of VRAM usage before...
