Downsides to SLI??

Am I going to run into problems without watercooling? Because that's not really a road I want to go down.

I ran dual Ultras in the case in my sig with absolutely no issues. THe GT i am running now actually runs the same temp as my hottest Ultra. 62c idle all day no issues. IF you plan on ultras i woud go Asus A8nSLI its a board that provides maximum space between the cards so they can breath. Have fun.

Why did i sell mine? Well " I climbed the mountain" and wanted to sell them while they were
still highly valued and I wanted a wide screen really bad since i had lost mine to a fire in my home. I plan on SLI with the next Gen at the end of the year. My gt is and will do an admirable job untill then.

In games that support it, and the bulk of the new ones do, I can turn everything up about as high as possible and get better frame rates than alot of machines can at lower settings.

The smoothness you can achieve with the best visual quality settings for a game makes SLi worth it for those of us who are lucky enough to be able to invest the cash into it, and those of us who are hardcore enough gamers to enjoy it.

The setup is sweet. Its not perfect and its not for everyone.
