I have two computers hooked up to a router that brings us out to the internet...

Is there a way to limit the 2nd's computer download speed, so the 1st computer gets more download speed (or at least an "undecreased" speed ) since both computers are downloading simultaneously therefore limiting both computers downloading speed ....?

Do i do this in the router settings itself ? I have a linksys wcg200 gateway...

With a basic home router like whats in your cablemodem/router no. You would need something a little more configurable like a Linux NAT box or windows server. You might be able to tweak the 2nd computers settings so it limits itself to a certian amount. However, I've not seen a big drop off with 4 pc's connected to my Linksys BEF11V4 wireless router. Even when I had three pc's connected via cat5 I've not seen any big drop offs. Maybe a few kbytes per second. I guess it depends on what your connection speed is. Im running at 5 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up. And with two pc's gaming, did a speed test on a third pc and I hit 4.8 Mbps avg of 3 tests off of testmy.net
