So I have a 5820k and gtx 970 cooled by 2 240 radiators running at 700rpm and also 120mm radiator in loop but no fan is hooked up. Running Fallout 4 at max settings gets me about 29-30C.

My question is, could I get away using just 1 240 radiator with increase fan speed to cool both components?

That 120 without a fan is probably doing nothing for you.

just waiting on a extension and splitter to hook up to my aquaero 6. just thinking about downgrading my loop and making a smaller enclosure.

The general rule of thumb is 120 rad space per block, plus and addition 120 if OC

Thanks for the input. Looks like I dont need all those radiators then.

Can you have to much radiator?
I think, that while there is no such thing as "too much radiator area" there is definitely a point where adding more just does not impact temperatures ir any meaningful way.
