Hi there,

I figured I'd make a new thread since the one for this monitor is like 30 pages long. Anyway, I have a couple quick questions:

1) Are there any retailers (more specifically Canadian Retailers) that sell this monitor besides the likes of Provantage?

2) Should calibration be used for it? I'm guessing the calibration software is supposed to give you the most accurate colours possible, correct?

3) Anyone who owns or has any experience with this monitor that can point out pros/cons, such as performance/quality of high-end gaming, movies, etc?

Thanks in advance.

The doublesight 265w does not have proper backlight control which means you have to use it at 50% brightness, or the contrast goes to hell. This is ok if you like your retinas extra crispy...

I was going to buy one until I read the reviews/problems people were having with them. You will have to go through the old thread if you want to see if those problems are worth venturing for your specific needs.

The general consensus is that the 265w is a dud. You would be better off with the 24 inch HP or the 26 inch Planar if you are wanting an IPS screen.
