Double cursers on desktop

I have 5 columns of equals signs that are blinking and disappearing at times on my desktop any ideas. I can mouse a square around then and make them disappear but they come back.
 
Fan spinning with Media center running and browsing its about 40c updated to latest CCC and tried different monitor still have the 5 columns of double cursors from the top to the bottom of LCD screen about 20 of then down the row and they come and go blinking off and on or appearing and disappearing.
