Do any of the venders out there ship cases double boxed? I have had a bad run recently of damaged cases from both FED-EX and UPS :(

my P180 from EndPCNoise was shipped double boxed. Very solid packaging.

I believe that Xoxide double boxes now (at least, they did the last time I ordered a case from them). If you buy from Amamax , you pay just $3 more to get it double boxed. Well worth it, especially if you don't live close to the place where you're buying it from. :)

I believe that Directron also has the $3-4 option of getting your case double-shipped.

i actually bought the CM Stacker from Amazon.com (found it 30 bucks cheaper there and offered free shipping) they sent the package, which is massive....you CM Stacker owners know..this sucker is huge...

anyways, amazon , instead of double boxing it which i expected them to do, sent the case in its normal box. all they did was reinforce it with a bit of tape, slap the paperwork on top and put it in the truck.

now if you think thats bad enough it gets worse. apaprently no one was home to take the package inside my place so i came home to it sitting outside...it gets worse...as i got out of my car i find some dumbass teenager standing at my door....looking at my case....looking around....looking at the case again...i walked up to him and said "what are you doing here?" his response was "nothing". my response was "you gonna steal my shit?" his response was"no". and he walked away. i stood there watching him as he walked down the street. he kept looking back. i kept staring.

now i dont know how it is some places, but you dont normally loiter in front of someones house, glaring at a massive pc case box. he obviously was there to steal it.

im pissed at Amazon and im pissed at UPS, i figured, regardless of the contents, there would be some form of discreetness when it comes to the contents.

fortunately i got there in time to scare that kid off, or else he would have walked home with it.

DHL left my new Dell 2001FP on the doormat of my apartment. Even though it required a signature.

I have all kinds of horror storys like that. I used to have a federal firearm license, so I could order guns strait to my door for resale. UPS would leave boxes of rifles stacked at my front door, sometimes with barrels poking out the ends of the boxes, and bolts sticking out the side.

Was it a used case, or purchased from a private? Just curious because, when I bought from newegg, they put the case with its box inside of another one, doubleboxed I guess. Maybe the owner or private reseller was being dumb!

That is odd, I don't think I have ever received a case from newegg that was double boxed.

Fed Ex always comes to my back door, regardless of whether I'm home or not. The front door is far from the road, but a package is visible if you're looking. The back door is completely hidden though. I'm not real worried about theft, but I could understand your concern, and I find it reassuring that FedEx always comes to my back door--and gives a time to the minute of when it was dropped off.
