I'll be amazed if this guy makes it out of this mess with a single penny.

Kim Dotcom is dealing with a multi-pronged attack on his assets. While the governments of both the U.S. and New Zealand work to keep already seized assets frozen, a High Court judge has just ordered the millionaire to reveal where all of his remaining assets are. Meanwhile, all U.S. civil action has been frozen until 2015.

Its funny how this guy looks like such a criminal because the US gov is after him.

I actually fully support what he is about.
As this world moves towards less and less freedoms on civilians and having the many
gov agency spy on us. I think encrypting all of our data is a good idea.

He started a new Mega service which is now fully encrypting all the data so no one
not even Mega them selves can see what their users are doing.

Instead of spending all this time spying and charging this man, they could go after
real criminals with all that time spent on this guy. Fucked up world we live in!

What's fucked up is that ISP's have the same data traversing over their network, fully aware that it is pirated material. It doesn't matter that most of it is legit, they know that there is pirated material going across their network. They do the DMCA removal and warning stuff, too (just as Megaupload did). While it isn't on their servers, it's on their network. Mega plus everything else. Child porn, too.

Should go after Comcast and see what happens.

DMCA fully absolves ISPs for what the network moves, the blame is put on the subscriber the one requesting the traffic and the hoster of the content.

you know what happens when you don't pay the piper!

Did you know that Kim Dotcom was at one point the #1 Player in COD?

QFT. He's a mover and shaker, what is there to not love.

God as much as I want to hate this guy, I fail to see why he has to be a whipping boy. Just what the hell did he do other than escape conviction on some bullshit charges?

Everyone can clearly see that this is agenda based. Nobody holds a grudge like the Government. Anyone from a U.S. agency that is still bothering with this needs to be put on leave and charged with misappropriation of assets. I'm tired of funding witch hunts and character assassinations on people they just don't like.

He's also far from anyone that needs this much effort and resources put into.

I can't stand the guy. He's a real douchbag. But, they are putting too much into putting his head on a stake as an example or something. It's just too much...

Perhaps, but the tech world kind of pumps up this guy, as he does himself. I just checked the FBI's website and he's not on any of the Ten Most Wanted lists there.

Why do the governments want to take all his money?
He was an entrepeneur and made quite a bit; What right do those governments have to what he earned?

The other corporations (ie: RIAA/MPAA) contribute more to the representatives, so naturally they get to control what gets investigated.

he's being targeted, and at the same time, his mega service is allowing people to download porn and warez at fast speeds. I love it.

Can't wait for the movie to be made after all this is completely over and done with.. around 2025 or so.. give or take a decade or two

I like this guy so much I signed up to his political party. I hope we get few seats in the upcoming election.

Any american citizen who has the intellect of a chickpea should realize with a little bit of reading that... this man's rights are being thrown under a bus with extreme prejudice... especially since he is NOT a US Citizen....and cannot be brought up on charges by the US Government....
His rights as a citizen of New Zealand have also been thrown under the bus.... and he was given a public apology by the NZ Government for it.. and yet... through all of this bullshit... they continue to stomp a mudhole in his ass...

Like him, hate him.... he should have been cleared months ago and all his assets returned to him... just because he is alleged to have promoted piracy does not give you the right to use a legitimate avenue, IE The judicial System, in an illegal manner...

It's funny, because he looks like Jim Sterling.... >.>

Anyway, I'm all for the guy going free. He might not be perfect, far from it. But what he's being prosecuted for is BS.

Our govt is the real criminal, everyone knows this. They illegally raided him, seized assets, continue to harass him, all of it without a single legal basis.

American citizens are the worst informed, most clueless and idiotic group of people ever.

Yup.

Shouldn't this kind of money and effort be spent on more useful things, like hunting down terrorists? What a colossal waste of time and energy! Besides, going after Kim is not going to stop Internet piracy anytime soon ... it's the equivalent of squashing a cockroach.
