Is there anyway to connect a Windows XP machine and a DOS one? I've a (old) notebook without CD-ROM and no ports to connect it; just a floppy drive. Possible?

You need some sort or i/o port to do this. Get a PCMCIA NIC, they are pretty cheap. The laptop doesn't have a serial port?

Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention that. Yeah, it has a PCMCIA NIC and a serial port. But how can I connect the DOS-running notebook and Windows XP machine?

Not sure but is Net Use even available in Dos? probably not but /? in dos read all the commands might be some kind of network command

Via FTP is probably your best bet. Google some DOS FTP software, I'm sure there are tons of free solutions.

That'll work, put an ftp server on your xp machine and then use dos to upload/download whatever you need over your local network.
