doom3 tearing?

im running 5.8 betas msi 9800 pro 128 mb... basically in doom3 (i run 1024x768) high) i notice that when i walk along side a wall and look at it, theres this sorta jagged wave that goes thru the wall, kinda looks like the wall's tearing... has anyone else experience this? its anoying as fock and i wish someone knew how tof ix
 
Yeah, it tears. Enabling vsync will affect your framerate.

not really, if you have triple buffering and vsync enabled it shouldn't affect your framerate, but if you just have vsync on then it might.

Triple buffering at a low framerate is bad because it gives too much lag: 33ms at 30fps.
 
yeah, with just vsync on it dropped my rates like 8 fps, but putting t buffering on made it fine again.
