doom3 sound problems

Is anyone else having random sound issuses with doom 3. At first the game would start to crackle after about 10 min. of play. I downloaded the newest nvidia mb drivers, and now the sound just stops randomly. I have an nforce2 w/ onboard sound. As soon as you restart the game the sound comes back. Just wondering if anyone else has had problems?

I just had it happen to me for the first time when playing doom3. I have an nforce2 board and when I reconfigured my speaker set up to use some extra speakers of mine as the center channel, it started getting crackly on me after a few minutes. Toggling the "surround sound" option in the game fixed it for the time being.

Has anyone else had a problem with a repeated clicking as you walk? It's a very quiet click sound that happens no matter what I walk on, and it only happens whenever I'm moving, and it only happens in doom3. I've tried new drivers galore, but nothing has stopped it. It's not a horrible annoyance, but I sure wish it was gone.
