Doom3 Issues

I just got a 6800 GT 256MB and Doom3 is doing something that is pissing me off to no end. It doesn't matter what quality setting or resolution, but when I'm moving around I'll see glitches and redraws on screen. I'm using Forceware 61.77 and the card is not overclocked. I've got an Athlon64 3200+ and 768MB ram as well. This is off a raid-0 raptor sata setup with a SB Audigy 2 ZS so I know it can't be any of my hardware causing a bottleneck. Farcry runs perfect with all settings turned up all the way. The system was just formatted and defragged 2 days ago we well. Any ideas why Doom3 may be giving me these issues?

try vsync on and off

Noticed the same thing when I put in my new 6800 vanilla. A little Vsync fixed the problem. Be aware however, that if your rig can't pull over a consistent 60 fps, Vsync will cap you at 30 or 35....

I don't think the above statement is necessarily true.

It's my understanding that if you have vsync on and you're using triple buffering, if won't matter how many actual FPS your game/app renders.

That's if your vid card is equipped to triple buffer. The ATI cards can, but the NV cards can't. So it is true in your case.

So you're claiming nVidia cards do not support triple buffering - I find that hard to believe.

Can anyone back up this claim?
