Doom3 framerate problems

For some reason, when i play the timedemo in doom3 at 1280x1024 with FSAA 8x/16x, the frame rate turns out to be less then 10. I have a 6800gt OCed to 380/1100 and a P4 cpu OCed from 3.0 to 3.7ghz. All other games run fine, and my 3Dmark05 score is around 5000. Doom3 is the only problem here. Any suggestions...? Thank you!
 
Try reinstallin the driver w/ driver cleaner or a different driver. 8x/16x may be a little too much on doom 3. You maybe want to try a 4x/16x as you wont tell any difference in image quality at that resolution.
 
Run it more than once.
For some reason the 2nd or 3rd run is always much better than a single run.
