doom3 farcry - what speakers to select

In both farcry and doom3 you get the option to select 5.1 quad speakers or surround sound.
I have an audigity 2 with klipsch 4.1 speakers. Which do i select to get the best sound.. How come no 4.1 option???

logitech Z680 speakers..they put a hell of amount of bass and sound great..even got a kickass award by maximum pc(great magazine) ..id buy them but im short on cash after my 6800 GT purchase

Surround ususally pertains to a 5.1 setup or above...

I would set your windows speakers to to quad, and see how the games sound when you select surround in the in game options
