Doom 3

Well I just beat Doom 3. It is a great game. I just have one question: at one point in the game you have a choice to call for reinforcements or to cancel the call. I called for reinforcements. My question is does canceling the call (as Swann asks you to do) change anything in the game? For example is there a different ending or anything?
 
It just changes what Betruger says in the recyling centers control room.
 
If you cancel the call, betrtruger calls them anyways, since he needs the ships to get to earth.

Yea although I didn't care too much about Doom3 after beating it, I am curious to play the expansion. Hopefully we'll see some stuff that people (including myself) are always complaining/asking for.

I disagree. Doom 3 is a very exceptional fps in relation to the other games in the Doom series. Bluntly, this game is fun as hell. I was hesistant to pick it up after hearing all the bashing, but the bashers were wrong this time.

The game is beautiful. I cant wait for the expansion.

Hopefully, we'll see the return of the double barrel "super" shotgun.

The gameplay boils down to personal preferance. I personally found it horribly repetetive and boring, and please don't start the argument that it's just "continuing" like the other Dooms - regardless, my opinion is what it is and thus, I did not continue playing it for long.

However, I don't flame anyone who likes the game, if you do great and all the power to you. But, I don't like it when others force their opinion on someone else as if it's fact. Sure, it's repetitive, but some people like that.

doom 3 was great, i haven't been that immersed in a game for a long time. The graphics and sounds are amazing, i loved it!
 
its almost as fun to watch someone that gets scared easily play doom3 :D
