Firstly, I would like to point out that when I was installing Doom 3 i noticed that the X800 is not one of the supported chipsets so i'm not sure how much that would effect Doom 3 performance.

I have doom 3 from a friend and i can run it on 1024x768 on High Quality and i am not sure how many fps it runs at if anyone has the console commands i will check i will check

to show the FPS, do this:

press the ctrl + alt + ~ to bring down the game console.

then type this:

com_showfps1

-that'll show your FPS.

the BOX art was likely created around the release of the 6800 press release and was already considered done before ATI had announced their X800 series video cards, so the BOX art currently is a typo and they've obviously forgot about it.

And the benchmarks and stuff already prove that the X800PRO can run Doom3 very well.

I'm satisfied with 1280x1024 at medium settings on my 9800pro 128MB running smooth.

If you want to have the FPS showing during gameplay, type this in the console instead...

set com_showFPS "1"

and "0" to not show it...

ah, thanks

just ran the timedemo got 21 fps average

i find that is not too bad as it looks like it was running it on Ultra quality
