hey guys. I know most of you have better deals, but here's one more, incase you don't have CC / microcenter etc around you.
I printed this out, and PMd it at Best Buy, it's 5 bucks off at least. walmart ad After PM and 30 dollar gift card, I walked out w/ doom 3 for $23.31 :-D installing as we speak (and far too slowly, I might add.

the point is BB pricematched :D :D unless you meant best buy didn't have any, which wouldn't surprise me either. in Lincoln, NE, I think they went thru about 100 of their 140 purchased copies, I just picked mine up less than an hour ago

Just stopped by an Atlanta BB (Hammond Dr.) that had it in stock, if anyone is having trouble finding one to buy.

So let me get this straight, WalMart wont sell music with curse words but they will sell a game that involves graphic violence and demonic characters. Good that they have thier priorities in check.

Another question, does Doom3 have any swearing? It very well could and get away with it, but does it?

Wow, surprised BB price matched. They aren't supposed to match online prices.

not that I've encountered, or perhaps noticed. I'm probably just desensitized to it, tho. A lot of "Jesus Christ, Help me!" or "Oh God, Help me!" etc. My neighbor was playing it, it was funny as hell to see his upper torso spasm when an imp popped out from under the stairs. hahaha.. good stuff.

Funny, I was just thinkin the exact same thing . . . . . . . . . .

I think one of the marines drops a subtle f bomb in one of the early chaotic radio transmissions.... I was semi-edited, you know like F_ck. I wasn't sure the first time, but I died (that happens a lot, but at least I'm playing on hard :p ) and the second time I think I heard it. Don't remember the exact phrase though.... just listen for it towards the beginning when you start getting practically non-stop radio messages.

I yelled. I don't think I've ever yelled at anything. And I yelled at that fucking imp! Good times.

Games don't seem to matter since they sell GTA3/Vice City and Max Payne and such..

edit- does Wally world actually have it on the shelves yet? I was going to wait till Friday because I don't need to stay up all night during the work week... but I have a 24 hour store near me :(

Well On their website they say they are selling them on the 4th. I called evey walmart in my area the 2nd at 10pm and found one that had it and told me I could buy it after 12:00am. So I drove 30 minutes to the store. When I got there the lady there didnt know anything about it. I went over to the shelf to see if it was there, well there was a sign that said "Doom3 coming august 4th" So I took it down and pushed it behind another game. A few minutes later she came out from the back with a copy. I bought it at 12:30am on the 3rd.

heh, once you meet that cyberdog thing, you get some jon guy's PDA, (or before, at any rate, right around in there). it tells you to go to www.martianbuddy.com. if you want the code so you don't have to leave the game to go there, I suggest doing so before you fire doom up, or having a web computer nearby :D Its worth eeeet, mang. ;)
