so i see its been updated to 6.6 or something how do i know i have the latest and free stuff for it ? saw the new dlc stuff online somewhere and its free update but not sure if i have it

If you have it through Steam and it's not downloading an update then you have the latest version. If you didn't play the MP before you wouldn't know anyway what's new.

you can always look at the source files to see if any have recent dates, example path,

c:\Steam\SteamApps\common\DOOM

You'll know if you suddenly lost 50GB of drive space and don't know why .
