edit: shat, I didn't know kyle started that one, I don't have any beef with anything he says... woops... but still take what you can to heart... and please don't ban me =)
I just find it so funny how the forum community operates in general. At the time I wrote this the "Your Thoughts on 3DMark threats to HardOCP." thread had just a few shy of 50k reads and 650+ posts while the "Post your 3dMark 2005 scores here" thread had only 8k reads and 250+ posts. But what was really sad was that the " Constructive Criticism for Futuremark" thread had only 282 reads and 10 posts. Now I know that that last one hasn't been around as long but it certainly will never get close to the other posts in popularity. What I find sad is that as the posts get more and more relevent and useful, the popularity goes down. Is it not obvious that Constructive Critisism is a much more useful and prductive use of a post while a post about someone's "thoughts" goes nuts. There isn't even that much to talk about, it's all dumb repeates of FM flamers and a few normal people. I mean, WTH do you talk about for 650+ posts all on a simple two sided opinion??? The whole thread can be summed up by one post that just says "FACT: FM is a synthetic benchmark that some people find useful for burn-ins, OCing, eye candy, and bragging rights, FACT: Some people think that synthetic benches are useful for nothing because they don't show true game play results" which I though was obvious enough from the word "synthetic" but whatever. Now I know you alowd not to like FM and I'm not sayting either is right or wrong but rather I'm asking people to restore faith in the forum and it's usefulness as a helping tool with a community of people of similar interest and experience. -Post for usefulness
