Of course this is just for me. WIth my laptop and WHS, I find that having a full sized desktop is no longer needed. I never cross fire or SLI. I have one SSD, and a single optical drive (Blu Ray), and one sound card.

I am going to build a computer based on a micro ATX board (like this one).

What case (micro ATX for size) would you recommend? Looks good and great cooling, and as quiet as possible. Looking at Corsair H50 for CPU cooling.

I should say, that this would not be a "budget" build.

If there is not a great micro ATX case, then I'd go with a full sized and put it in a 80oD.
 
Well, the Lian Li A05 is awesome and even accepts full ATX boards while still being smaller than some micro ATX cases. A lot of people on these forums have this case. Only issues are airflow to the video card isn't great but its easily overcome (check the thread in the SFF forum).

The Lian Li A03 is even a little smaller and is limited to micro ATX boards. Seems like most people like the A05 better, maybe because you always have the option of sticking a full ATX board in it. I am seriously considering this case for my present system.

The Antec P180 Mini is an interesting case. If you are interested in a lot of airflow, good cable management, and a very quiet case its worth checking out even though its VERY big for a micro ATX case. Comes in both Black and White (which is cheaper).
 
The mini-p180 may be large for a micro-atx case, but in comparison to full size or even mid-tower cases, it's smaller than both.

However, if you're looking for a space saving machine, check out the Silverstone Sugo series, small, high airflow and quiet.
 
Forgot to mention, the A05 with its reverse airflow is basically a perfect match for a corsair H50. Just make sure you like the looks of the case you buy. In the past I have bought cases that had all the features I wanted but I wasn't crazy about the looks. Well they sit there beside you for a long time. Appearance is VERY important.

Very very true. Once all the functions are met, if the form is crappy then the merging of the two will be disappointing.

Thanks for the tips, going to look into them.
 
A05B is one of my favorite cases of all time. Spend an afternoon adding a blow hole to the top and you're set.
