Dominator or Reaper HPC

Are you overclocking or just gaming?

I've used the Dominators in my previous build, huge fan of them. Overclocked like champs for me.

If you aren't, I'd still say go with the dom's. I'm bias though, never been a huge fan of OCZ, haven't used them since DDR-400 days.

Ok, Dominator is better than Reaper, but what about Gskill 8500 ?

So which one to buy Dominator or Gskill ?

That's good ram as well, but i have not used G.Skill myself, but I have put them in builds for others. I'd still say go with Dom's. They're known to be some of the best overclocking RAM out there and you'll have a better chance of getting a good pair that will overclock well. If I recall correctly I got my 1066 doms at 4-3-4-12 or something like that and 1200, but I don't recall how loose I had to set the timings, not above 5-5-5-15 though. I also don't remember the volts I had to run, but I think it was 2.2v.
 
Corsair Dominatiors, i've used alot of OCZ ram and i find there Quality really lacking, sometimes the ram is good and OCs well sometimes it just poor Overclocker and dies within a few months.. I myself had the 2x2GB Dominators, there were great i had them OC'ed to 1150mhz 5-5-5-15 @2.1v(stock volts) on a 750i FTW.. but if i may also make another suggestion Try the red 2x2GB Tracers

Go with the best bargain you can get, at the speed/timings you want. I just bought a pair OCZ 2x2GB 1066 for $38 after rebate. They're both lifetime warranty, overclocking ram. The OCZ I ordered is my first. I've used corsair for years, and never been disappointed.
I don't go for the reapers or dominators, or any other cooling more elaborate than a simple heat spreader. That's more for epenis than actual cooling.
