Dolby decoding

hey guys, i'm currently using:

creative x-fi xtrememusic + cambridge soundworks megaworks 550

will i receive dolby 5.1 if i decode willing the soundcard, since my speakers are analog, will it be able to receive it after being decoded?

or should i opt for a logitech z5500 and use it's built in decoder?

Decoding is decoding (well, at least most of the time). The 5500's decoder works no differently from the X-Fi's software decoder.

Yes, your speakers will receive the the decoded analog stream.
