Doing my first mod, wondering about insulation

Today I bought an electronic typewriter at a thrift store to mod into a pc. I have stripped it of all its mechanisms and have began cutting the case to put PC parts in. This is my first time modding, and I was just wondering if I need to put anything between the mobo and the case itself for insulation purposes? The case is plastic, and I was considering taking the mount area out of another PC case I have and using that, unfortunately getting that into the case might cause some problems with drilling and the layout I have planned in my head right now (will do measurements tommorrow).

Would a thin sheet of cardboard suffice? I thought I had seen that around, but since this case is plastic and therefore doesnt conduct electricity I didn't think I would need it.

I'll start a worklog tommorrow so you all can see what I am making.

You won't need anything between the motherboard and the casing as it's not conductive, though it would be in your interests to mount some motherboard standoffs on the casing so you can install and remove the motherboard easily.
