Doesn't Oil Immersion void warranties?

That's been a question floating around in my brain for a while now. I'm seeing this oil stuff catching up but it sure doesn't seem like something as extreme as that would be valid in the warranties.

Don't get me wrong, I know they are more stable in oil than in air but I'm sure all that glue from the stickers and stuff must be soluble in it among a bunch of other stuff.

I would almost bet on it.

while it might not have any chemical reactions with any of the components, can you imagine being the guy testing "bad" returns for defects? yuck lol that pretty much throws refurbs out the window too

if i was a hardware manufacturer, i definitely wouldn't warrant my hardware if i knew it was submersed in oil. i'm pretty sure they wouldn't either.

If something goes bad, just drop it into some isopropyl alcohol before you return it. haha :D

This kinda brings up a new thought. All these companies selling oil immersion tank cases. Has anyone ever seem a disclaimer that they void the warranties?
