And also which is the best converter if anyone knows any?

I am thinking of getting a Raptor but my mobo doesnt have a SATA option...

Thanks

Get yourself a SATA PCI card.

They don't cost much (~$50), and can sometimes actually be faster than onboard solutions, especially for RAID...

I like the SiImage 3112 chipset - many pci cards can be found with that on it. It really depends on what you want to do. Single drive, or multiple? Do you ever plan to do a striped, or mirrored RAID array. Just find a card that suits your needs/wants and sports the SiImage chipset.

Everybody else -- agree/disagree? I don't wanna be the only guy professing here, as I haven't shopped SATA controllers in 6 months...
