Been trying to find out if Vista home basic supports Directx10? I plan to keep xp on my pc, and dual boot vista. I'll only be using vista for gaming using my 8800gts directx 10 card. Just want to know if its worth buying the cheapest version? Thanks, Mike.

I am pretty sure that BAsic has DX10, I think the only thing that vista is lacking is the new aero interface.

just found out home basic is same price as premium lol, must have screwed up with upgrade version. I've gotta try to find one used.

ALL Windows Vista has DirectX 10 in it. Basic just doesn't have AeroGlass as far as I know.

When the costs need to be kept down there's generally a way to do so ;)
