Please forgive me if I ramble a little. I am trying to get my thoughts together as I type this.
I am going to be building my WC rig and I am looking for something very specific and I don't know if it exists.
What I am looking for is something like a monitoring system, or fan controller that can monitor my fan speeds, water temp, pump flow, and component temps.
I do not need, nor do I want to manually control the fan speeds or pump flow. All the fans I will be getting and the pump will all be controlled by the mobo's PWM or software. So I do not need a fan controller that has multiple knobs and dials.
What I would like is something with a readout like this:
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sckamaace5ba.html
But It has to have readings for all my temps and speeds. I know that I will have to switch between readings because of all I want to see, or i will have to have more than one in my case.
What I would really like though is to have something that can feed the info into a piece of software that can then be output to a display like this:
https://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFA634NFAKS.html
I have been looking at the T-Balancer bigNG. It outputs to software and allows for fan and pump to be run by PWM. But the description of it is either really vague (written in bad english) or I just don't firmly grasp all that it is trying to say.
Everything that i would like to see displayed is as follows:
**Fan speed (I don't need individual fan speeds for each of the 4 fans in the system. Just one combined reading showing the average of all 4 is fine)
**Water flow rate or pump speed (either will work)
**Water Temp
**CPU temp
**GPU temp
**Case temp
I know that I can get the CPU and GPU temps from software that can then be output to a display, but what I am unsure about is the other things I need to monitor.
So, I guess what this long post is trying to get at is this:
Will the T-Balancer bigNG control and output the other items I need to see? Will it control/output all of them by itself or will I need additional pieces? (*note: I know that I would need the additional waterkit for it to do the flow rate and water temp) But is this one unit all I need or do I have to get other parts and pieces for it to do what I need it to do?
Is there anything else out there that will do what I am looking for besides the T-Balancer bigNG?
My end result is to have a system that runs at minimal speed/flow, but ramps itself up when needed because of stuff getting hot. While I want this to be as automated as possible, i still want a readout of the info so i can keep an eye on everything as a "fail safe" to the automated cooling system.
I hope this post is worded in such a way that you guys can understand what i have in my head. If anything is unclear, or if you need any clarification on something, please feel free to ask.
Thanks in advance for any help, advice or direction you guys can give me.
