Does this look like a reference AMD HD 6870?

True...I've never owned a card long enough to use a warranty if long term use is your plan. I guess you'll have to decide if the price (I'm assuming it's lower than normal) is worth the chance vs. paying for retail with warranty. These types of video cards usually only come with a DOA or 7 day return option.
 
It's $100 for the card. So $40 cheaper than the lowest one on Newegg.
 
The AMD logo being printed just above the PCI-E connector is usually inductive of a reference board. I don't think i've ever seen a non-reference PCB that still has the AMD logo in that location.

EDIT: Too slow...
 
For $100 I'd pick one up as it's definately worth the cost, but money's not tight for me so I'd be willing to take the risk. That's the million dollar question!
 
And the correct answer is! It's an OEM Dell branded HD 6870.

Although I have yet to test it. It has this stupid handle thing on it which I just removed which still leaves a small 2" long metal piece sticking off the end of it. It's still under warranty but I have to go through the guy I bought it from. Which makes it kind of annoying. Now it's just a decision on what machine to put it into....

My main rig which would allow me to do crossfire, or my HTPC so if I decide I want to game on my HTPC, I could.
