Everything is pretty much stock on the system, i just picked it up this week. The only thing i have changed is the timings on my ram. I did the bench and i got a horrible 1176..... whats wrong? Please i need as much help as you can give me to bump the score up. I know its probably all in the video card, but should it be that low with all the other parts i have?

Specs:
A8n-SLi
3200+
1 gig Corsair xms twinX 3200ll
(1x) Abit 128mb x600xt
74.4 W.D raptor 10k rpm
Neopower 480w
and other stuff that is not important to the score

well the system is fine. the video card is wahts holding you back. to me that sounds about right but I dont have that card so it could be off. My 6800gt gets around 4400.

WTF? Why would that system have an x600 in it?
Everything else in that computer is pretty damn good, but your videocard is a carry over from a midrange card that was old a year ago and slow to begin with.

Maybe hes savings up for a 6800 or so  ;)

something about those scores seems odd to me.

Their Machine:

AMD Athlon 4000+
1 gig Corsair ram
6600GT PCI-E
ASUS Mobo

My Machine

Intel 530 (3.0 with HT)
1 gig Mushkin RAM
MSI 6600GT PCI-E
Intel BOX915GAGL Mobo

Running at 1024 x 768 with no AA or AF, all tests, and I score a good 600 points above what they gave.

I score 1635 with:

Asus A7N8X
2500+ Barton OCed to 3200+ (11x200)
128Mb Sapphire 9600XT
1GB PC3200 Geil 2-4-4-8
