I gather from reading here that the subsciption fees for General Mayham go toward upgrading hardware needed to keep this forum up. Is that correct?

I also imagine that I would never need to "actually post" in the that forum even if I paid for say, a lifetime subsciption. (A blessing for the members there.)

Finally, how many *lifetimes* over the course of a year or so, would a single registered user be allowed to subscribe to? Yes, that sounds funny to ask [H]ardocp to grant me several lifetimes, so before you jump all over that

1) The money is going towards upgrades. Kyle has specifically mentioned a terabyte-plus SAN box and has alluded to a few others

2) Posting is not compulsory

3) I'm not sure about stacking lifetime subs, but you can rack up individual years ad infinitum.

A) I would not presume to know ,or ask, about Kyle's finacial business! Or anyone else's.

B ) Nor do I think it's "unreasonable to contribute" if one so wishes , to this community site. The key word there being *contribute* not *donate* ! Further, no where in my post did I say the word *donate*.

C ) I don't know where the upgrades are. Ask Kyle

D) As for your freedom of speech... well you just expressed yourself didn't you?

E) But the next time you feel like doing so out of your hurt feelings and your anger, start your own thread to do so.

But you're angry at someone/ something else and you just should take it to them *head-on*. Not speaking for Kyle, but the forum is a premium area that is suscribed by choice to post any off topic thread you wish. You are paying for that service and frankly where the money goes shouldn't concern you or anyone else. I would put it to you in this way....If you call a repairman to do some service for you, do you ask him how he is going to spend the fee he charged for that service? Somehow I think not. This is only my personal opinion

Tmarshall, You paid a whopping $5, where and and why do you think, that gives you any rights here period. This is Kyles sandbox, you paid to play but you can be asked to leave at anytime no refunds. I've seen signatures of all types here, If they changed yours it must have risen to a completely new level of stupidity.
