Does the HotSwap! software is safely to remove hard drive on Windows 7 x64?

If you use a Sata HDD with AHCI enabled you can hot swap it out of the box without using anything extra like this. If you have an IDE drive there is no way to hot swap it.

You can not 'hot swap' your system drive (c:) either.

May be used on a Intel ICH10R mainboard and LSI MegaRAID raid controller, does the HotSwap! program compatible with this chipset?
