Does the CNPS9500AM2 include SKT939 brackets?

I know this thread is almost a week old but I have another question about this cooler.

A friend of mine was just telling me that using the Fanmate 2 is a requirement because plugging it straight into the 3-pin power doesn't give it enough. I forgot where I saw it but I read on another website that the Fanmate 2 isn't needed if you simply want to run the fan at fullspeed 24/7. The Fanmate 2 gives you the option to manually change the RPM's on it. I can do this via software if needed, that is why I do not need the Fanmate 2.

Can someone please verify this for me. Is the Fanmate 2 required to run the Zalman AM2 cooler, reason Im asking is because I was told the fan will run at low speed unless the Fanmate 2 is plugged in. Thanks!

The fan will be run on 12V if plugged straight into the motherboard.

With fan mate, only 5V - 11V can be suppied to the fan, therefore, it will run slightly slower with fanmate plugged in, even if you turn it to the max.

Alright cool, I knew I was right on that.

Now here is something that I caught on before I was totally screwed over. The rentention bracket that I am using now is the one that came supplied with the Thermalright XP-90C, which I am also currently running. Before I got this new Zalman in I noticed how I wouldn't be able to install the Zalman because there is nothing there for the bracket to attach itself to. Here is a product made by Scythe that I found on Newegg. This post is simply for reference in case anyone else were to have the same scenario come up.
