Im talking about the ones it had with VIA's AMD chipsets. Does the Audigy line have the same problems with the Intel 875p chipsets?

every via motherboard I tried it with had horrible screeching pausing and dropping of sounds. I ditched it when I had an nforce 2 board and am now using a hercules game theater xp, but still have the audigy. I would go back to it but dont want the hassles I had with the via boards.xonik said:There are a lot of factors to consider, but generally, the Audigy series works without issues under any modern x86 platform.
I think maybe they are thinking of the S.B. LIVE issue with VIA chipsets (large file tranfer corruption) ?
AgreedI've seen only scattered instances of direct Audigy-VIA chipset problems in my experience.
since you say no ill go back to my audigy. Ive also sent you a pm concering preamp replacment.Mister X said:That was primarily due to bug in the chipset.
Agreed
The number of threads dealing with VIA compatability problems in now non-existant.
I can't even remember the last person who posted a thread about problems with a Intel chipset.
