Does the Audigy still have problems?

Im talking about the ones it had with VIA's AMD chipsets. Does the Audigy line have the same problems with the Intel 875p chipsets?
 
There are a lot of factors to consider, but generally, the Audigy series works without issues under any modern x86 platform.

every via motherboard I tried it with had horrible screeching pausing and dropping of sounds. I ditched it when I had an nforce 2 board and am now using a hercules game theater xp, but still have the audigy. I would go back to it but dont want the hassles I had with the via boards.
 
VIA motherboard? Maybe that's your problem. In recent years, I've seen only scattered instances of direct Audigy-VIA chipset problems in my experience.
 
I think maybe they are thinking of the S.B. LIVE issue with VIA chipsets (large file tranfer corruption) ? Maybe ?

That was primarily due to bug in the chipset. ;)

The number of threads dealing with VIA compatability problems in now non-existant.
I can't even remember the last person who posted a thread about problems with a Intel chipset.
 
My motherboard has a VIA chipset, and I have no problems with my audigy.
 
I had severe issues with my audigy when I ran a kt333 board. So i tried various replacements untill I settle with the game theater xp. Now that its died should I dig out my audigy and give it another go, or should i get something else? Im on an abit ic7-g currently.
