My POS Dell Latitude 5590's MB died and I had to use my backup but way better Precision M4800 laptop (that also got it's adapter fried, however a very kind member hooked me up in time! Thank You!!) on my most recent hospital stay

Anyway I bought a 2 TB SSD for the Latitude 5590 however since that machine is dead does a NVMe to SATA bridge board adapter exist that would mount like a standard 2.5" SATA drive?

In my searching all I see is M.2 SATA protocol versions (Like This) because what I want probably does NOT exist?

the protocols are different, pcie vs sata. i though i had found one, but nope, ssd only.

pcie vs sata
Yes I am aware of that but why are those NVMe to USB bridge chips ones more common?

I just want to use that SSD in my laptop internally perhaps I can ask if anyone wants to trade the NVMe drive for a 2TB SATA SSD of equal quality. I don't know if the Crucial P3 SSD has a DRAM cache but if it does I want to trade it for a SATA SSD that also has one.
