does ps3 suck?

actually it was done before Microsoft (I believe when Sony made the annoucement someone actually found an old SNES controller that had this function) and the comment you made was that the controller was a gimmick because there were no games out for it yet. The Wii isn't innovative I see tons of games at Best Buy that do the same thing. These are those little game boxes that allow you to play baseball with a baseball bat and they have golf and tennis and you don't press buttons you actually swing. Mind you this was out well before the Wii so it's not innovative. If it can be sold for 30 dollars why would you pay $250 for the same thing?

...uh..ok

I really don't need to comment on that

My buddy has the boxing game like that, got it back in 2001. I recommend people stay away from them, the controls are crap.

Remember for $600 the PS3 includes mind controlling RF chips that will bake cookies and use six axis to flip them in the oven, all while letting you have a baking contest against other users online for free while people aimlessly update other ps3 consoles through paper thin walls in japan because of RF controllers.

Don't forget the tiny ants inside the system to reprogram the eeprom everytime the system crashes... Oh oh! One more thing, the Y3K bug that will imperviously shut down the PS3 when it still dominates in the year 3,000 and eventually takes over your electronic equipment.

Ah! That's why they left rumble out, because the PS3 is so smart that rumble could have been used as a weapon to permanently disable dumb idiots who buy into marketing hype.

Score 1: teh funny
Score 2: I don't think ps3 is teh suck. It just needs some growing up to do and a little bit of price dropping to appeal to the main market. Chill guys.
Score 3: No one is saying ANY console is perfect, but please please don't claim yours is
Score 4: Can we all get along, if we can I'll write a funny post about the 360.
Score 5: My 360 bricked, seriously im PO'd, I think ps3 has higher quality, but
because my 360 is so enjoyable and intuitive as far as the user experience goes, im still going to keep it when it comes back next week.

Oh sorry I forgot the Wii has slightly better graphics (not innovative) a whole online market place (xbox 360) and at least games that will have more depth then those games that cost 30 bucks at Best Buy. Still when your taking an idea that was already done by someone else and calling yourself innovative you are becoming Microsoft of the 21st century.

I dont care what you say, the red squigley line in word is totally innovative.

Slight comment on this:

First off: Your comparison of originality and innovation is horrible...and frankly I'm biting tongue/fingers. I'm sorry it really hurts me thinking that you thought to compare those games. Ya that's ALL the wiimote can do...swing a bat. Forget that you can grab, rotate, shake, steer, point and aim, twirl, rumble whatever that hasn't been done on any system with good success and diversity. And no one, no one, put any thought into it's design either. I guess Nintendo wasn't innovative either with Gameboy because Tiger has a bunch of hand held AA battery games too right?

So, from gimmick to "isn't innovative" compares to ...how...? For the Wii it's pretty much a given 90% of the games NEED motion controller in some way while the sixaxis it's spotty choice design at best?

And now you go onto a tangent about innovation because of the XBL and virtual console or it's graphics...wtf? I didn't even make a comment about that

I said Wii has at least more depth with it's controller then those games you can find at Best Buy. I just said it's nothing new and to give credit for Nintendo for it is a sham. Also Wii main focus is on it's motion sensor controls so you would expect all it's games to really utilize such a feature. I am sure Nintendo gives incentives for game developers to produce games with this in mind. Sony on the other hand has there hand dipped into many different pies with there ps3. The reason why you don't see so many games that support it's motion controller function is because Sony doesn't think of it's system as a one off product. It can do a lot more then the Wii in different area's other then just the controller. Sony is trying (I use the word trying here noted) to sell there box as a PC/Home Entertainment machine. The last thing on your mind when you hear those two functions is a controller that you can swing around to make motions on the screen. If you want to swing a baseball bat or throw a football in the comfort of your own home fine, just don't think the PS3 is going to make you feel like a kid again with games like that. So the Wii is geared towards one market and the PS3 is geared towards another.

That's what makes the wii innovative. Ya ok, people in the past had some motion sensing devices. They are going beyond just some motion sensing and going for a big picture. You can't discount them for actually doing something you couldn't ever do before. Swing a bat or golf club. Fine. Grab something with that feel (not just push a button) in a game bringing you in? Swing a controller like a lasso and yoru game does the same. That's new. That's innovation.

And I know both are marketed towards different audience. That's fine. But credit is due where credit is due. And why does this always go back to the Wii!! argh! The original comment was about 360s controller and the sixaxis!

Controller wise I can't say either or is better. I guess if you have big hands it's more of a challenge but for me both are very comfortable. Rumble I don't care to much and I don't fling my controller around trying to get my character to move out of the way (I knew a lot of kids who would do that on the original nes it was retarded) so the weight wouldn't bother me I am sure. I have an xbox 360 now and I love it but I am kinda kicking myself for not waiting for the PS3 to mature.

I'd be impressed by the wii if there was true 1 for 1 motion sensing. Flicking my wrist is no different than flicking an analog stick. True motion sensing that translated my actions into onscreen movement would be more interesting. Still waiting on that. The wii commercials sure do their best to fool the consumer into thinking that's what their product provides however.

does it suck  HELL NO!

my last console was sega with sonic and have had no need for them since. too kiddie IMHO but that time has gone. saw an indepth show on gamer.tv and was way too impressed with motostorm and resistance. the bluray is a needed progression so that was my main buying point. alien vs predator and the new 007 kicked ass on my 3 year old 52' rear projection. finally getting movies in 1080i and the sound is noticeable. I was skeptical if I needed a new tv or not but this is wicked. the unit pumps a lot of heat but it rocks. huge thumbs up

:D Does your X360 charge up to 4 cell phones at a time? :D

Friday night was pretty funny.... My GF comes home from work and is all pissed off.. "Baby my cell phone is messed up ... its not charging..." So we get her phone charger and plug it into several wall outlets to see maybe if its the wall outlet or not. Then I go and get my phone and try it on her charger... doesn't do anything... I said "I think your charger died..."

I actually have more than 1 of those cables used to charge the controllers,... So I tried plugging in her and my phone into the PS3... and both started to charge!... Later on that night I had some friends come over and we had a total of 4 cell phones charging off my PS3 (friends were pretty impressed) "Not only does it play some kick ass games, but it plays BR movies and charges cell phones, damn haha" is what one of my friends said...

I know this works with Motorola phones... I've lost my phone charger and hers is broken, so the PS3 is our new phone charger :)

I just wanted to bring this fact to the table.

Nintendo has had motion sensing product work for ages.

Duck Hunt anyone?

During game play? Or the main menu for the PS3?
