Other then Batman what are the other AAA titles that support PhysX. Terminator doesn't count. I have a 8000GTS 640 that may end up being a physX card later on if I can justify the power draw if games will actually use it.

if you enjoy flapping curtain effects then physx is extremely important. in other cases it seems to be pretty useless to me.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhysX#Title_support

Theres the official list, No real winners on it. A few games that are worth buying, such as Dragon Age and Mirrors edge, only utilize the "Oooo look at the pretty cloth" effect. Especially Mirrors edge, the only real physx support i found in the game were these plastic dividers in doorways sometimes. The game that is the best balance of utilizing it and worth buying would be Metro 2033, but then you're gonna need a sick graphics card for it.

EDIT: also, i asked a friend if Mass effect really Utilizes PhysX and his response was "I don't think so". Which lead me to believe that he didnt even know the game supported PhysX.

Does physx even matter?

It's purely subjective. Some people it does, some it doesn't

Just like any other eye candy, it wont effect gameplay in most cases (with a few exceptions)... it'll just make it look a little nicer

I notice a big diff with a physx card in physx enabled games... cool features.

At the moment, i would say PhysX isnt worth spending money for, YET. especially if you already have the 5870. i mean, i would be more than satisfied with the Tessellation i would be getting from DX11 than wanting PhysX.

Is it worth it with a 5870 as your main card?
If you can get a GT 240 for $35(AR) AND have a spare video card slot AND play games that have meaningful PhysX support AND don't mind using hacked drivers to get support because nvidia is boneheaded, IMO it's worth it. :p

If you can do PhysX anyway (you have an Nvidia card...), then I'd say you're not [H] without it!

Needed? No. [H]? Yes!
